2029 Online: Rookie Jamboree Warm-up The post-apocalyptic world of 2029 Online (http://2029.igg.com) is growing at an impressive clip; only 10 days into the Closed Beta and they already broke the 120,000 mark. With such an impressive community growing around this game, the 2029 project team has decided to hold a celebration for new players, including big giveaways and awesome prizes. Prize 1: Free Equipment In a game as action intensive as 2029, new players are bound to become targets of higher level players looking for an easy target, such is the way of things. With this in mind, the 2029 team has gathered some top notch equipment to give out to newbies to help them even the odds. Before Level 50 you will be rewarded with a new gear piece each time you level up. Work hard to reach a high level and trade in that peashooter for a real man’s (or woman’s, as the case may be :P) gun! Prize 2: Mall Items Mall Items can sometimes be the forbidden fruit that players want to try but dare not. Cost can be a big factor in this, but whatever the case, it means that they are missing out on very helpful items that offer tons of exp, special weapons and equipment, healing potions and lots more. To give players a small taste of this sweet, sweet fruit, the 2029 team is throwing open the doors of their Item Mall and letting players sample some of the items inside – FREE! Prize 3: Corsair Definitely the coolest feature in the game, Corsairs have generated huge interest among new players. Imagine cruising into battle in a stylish battle ride and then stepping out with a swagger and fragging everything in sight - Patrick Swayze eat your heart out. To help them get the car culture going in 2029, newly registered players will be given the keys to Level 15 and Level 40 Corsairs to upgrade and ride and style.
