Galaxy Online: Player Feedback Results in Newest Additions During this past week’s scheduled maintenance, Galaxy Online team added a clock-style server time indicator, eight new Spell Commanders and five new styles of ships for the Pirate Factory. The team decided to implement these changes after receiving feedback from players. From improving coordination among allies to giving players more commanders and ready-made ships, each is designed to add to the unique experience that is Galaxy Online. Clock-style Server Time Indicator With the new clock-style server time indicator, players can see the current real EDT (GMT-5) time in game. Since Galaxy Online’s players live in many different parts of the world, having the exact server time display available in game will reduce misunderstandings or inconveniences when players want to work together on battle tactics or coordinating other activities. Players felt the plug-in that was previously available didn’t do enough to improve the situation, so the team added the time indicator to give everyone a set frame of reference when discussing time-sensitive matters. New Spell Commanders Many players have remarked on how important the Dilira and Rayo commanders have become, since both are good at leading a defensive fleet and helping to sway the outcome of battles. Anticipating increased demand for defensive-minded commanders, the team worked to add several, such as Carl, who can increase the effectiveness of shields by 150%, and Nicole, who can reduce one of an enemy commander's stats by 20. These new commanders should give players more options when designing battle strategies. Plus, by adding content over time the team hopes to see players come up with new innovations as things change, preventing the game from becoming too stale as they settle into using a smaller number of optimal fleet configurations. New Ships for the Pirate Factory Several weeks ago, the team added the improved Command Flagship-Enigma and Command Ship-Brilliance to the game. Their superior performance quickly placed them among the most popular hulls. Now that players have had a chance to design their own blueprints based on these hulls, the time is finally right to introduce variations to the Pirate Factory. Though players can develop their fleets quickly by purchasing ships from the Pirate Factory, there are some drawbacks. First, the Pirate Factory ships may not have the best attributes for a job, since the team prefers players to build their own optimal designs. Players must also spend considerably more resources buying a ship from the Pirate Factory than they would by building their own.
