Ensuring you dont get hacked.
Have you visited an illegal sites lately? or tried to download items which seemed suspicious? Do you think you have caught any bad bugs or possibly even been keylogged? Its critical that you take the appropriate steps before you begin to stress out. Before you start to reformat your computer, ask yourself these simple questions...
If you answered "NO" to the following three questions then the chance of you being hacked is below 1%. For a keylogger to take affect it must be activated by the user and does not activate itself. Meaning unless installed or double clicked it will remain inactive. Most viruses also need to be installed or double clicked to also begin doing damage, very rare viruses are active at all times, unless previous viruses trigger them or other related items. [ What if i answered YES, to one or more of the above questions? ] Do NOT be afraid, stay calm and follow some very simple instructions. If you already have specialised anti-virus software, such as McAfee or Norton Antivirus, ensure its up-to-date and perform a FULL SYSTEM SCAN. Ensure you have all background software closed down before you begin, as most advanced viruses will hide themselves or even worse try to attack your computer when you perform a system scan. Most anti-virus software lacks the ability in deleting cookies and/or adware. Which is what most popups and activeX controls relate too. To ensure you have removed these related items use a special Adware removal software. Recommended Software:
Once you have installed on of the following ensure its up-to-date and then perform all necessary procedures on your computer (on all drives). Once completed you are now safe to login with your personal details to any website or game. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Even though you may have been hacked or have a keylogger, most big companies or banks use 128bit security frameworks, which prevents any data leaking. However, do not use this as an excuse not to check your computer. As smaller sites which contain less security will be their main targets, which in turn can lead the hackers into new higher areas. It is recommended your scan your computer on a weekly basis to ensure all your files are safe! Thank you for your time. Regards, CGE Network Management. Email This Hits: 432 Comments (0)
