Class System
They are taking a new approach to class systems in RPGs. Instead of power leveling a single warrior into a god, you will level several warriors into gods. As hall lord, you will manage an entire party of specialized warrior classes. You must pick the right warrior for the job. In other words, if you are invited to a party that consists of ranged and casting type warriors, it would be to the benefit of the group for you to bring a melee-type fighter.
This specialized class system is enabling them to create some very “unique” warrior classes. Gazers, Demi-Gods, rainbow spewing white unicorns made of sugar; these are just some of the possibilities for warrior classes. Every class you play will offer a completely different gaming experience and will be
Completely customizable
Experience is distributed amongst the group in quests as foes are eliminated and treasure is discovered. Upon the end of a quest, bonus experience is distributed to players as well.
Aside from your warriors, you will also level your hall, which is the primary focus of the game. The hall serves as a base where you keep you warriors, their spirits, and some “other” things.
Raiding
This is not a run and gun action RPG. Since the warrior classes are highly specialized, a great deal of strategy has to be used in order to successfully get through quests. Your lv50 Demi-God may be tough against many foes, but if he encounters something that is resistant to his attacks… another party member with a more effective warrior will need to jump in and take care of business.
Spirit Summons
Your Warriors actually have spirits in Warrior Epic. When your warrior falls in battle, their spirit ascends to a room in your hall known as the Sanctuary. At this point, you can actually equip the spirit on another warrior to call upon in times of great need or you can resurrect your warrior and find another day. The strength of your warrior’s spirit directly correlates with the strength and level of your warrior at their time of death.
Strategy in Gameplay
A huge emphasis is being placed on cooperative questing and strategy when it comes to surviving a quest in Warrior Epic. This is not a recharge game, health and skills are limited and the specialized warrior classes make for an interesting experience when attempting a quest or campaign. Forethought and cooperation is essential to your survival when adventuring in groups, everyone has to do their part in order for the group to survive.
DoD (Download on Demand)
Download on Demand enables people to hit the official site (www.warriorepic.com), register, grab a tiny file, and be playing in game within minutes. The technology they are basing this system on is very similar to torrents.
To begin the process, you will visit www.warriorepic.com and download a very small (~400kb) .exe file. You will not even have to install the game onto your computer...it will run from the folder you save it in. When you execute the file, you will be connected to "Seed" servers that are strategically placed around the globe. These servers function as permanent seeders that will deliver the game content to you, as you need it.
The greatest aspect of this feature is the portability of our game. Since all of your game assets will be stored in our servers, you will be able to play on your account from anywhere in the world on just about any computer...and within minutes of grabbing a single small file from our site. This is going to make Warrior Epic extremely accessible to people, even if they go on vacation or want to get some quests in at the campus library. For those of you who prefer a big download, up front… a full install is also available for download.
Game Portability
Warrior Epic has a completely internalized installation meaning that it does not require files or registry entries outside of the install folder to run. This means that you can literally copy/paste your Warrior Epic folder from your computer and put it onto a 2GB thumb drive. Not only can you transfer warrior epic to another machine this way, you can literally run the game from the thumb drive.
In-House Developed Graphics Engine
The graphics engine in Warrior Epic does not rely on 3D acceleration to render special effects. Instead of relying on expensive hardware to deliver the beauty in the game, Possibility Space has invested in hiring amazing artists (led by World Renowned Feng Zhu) to literally hand paint effects directly into the game. This means that Warrior Epic looks amazing and will run quickly on the majority of computers out there that are 5 years old or less.
